CoD: Modern Warfare 3 Players Spending More Time In Multiplayer Compared To MW2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 released just over a week ago, and new details from Activision reveal interesting statistics when comparing the game to last year's Modern Warfare 2.As reported by CharlieIntel, Activision says players are spending more in-game time across all modes in Modern Warfare 3 versus last year's multiplayer. Map statistics show Rust is the top multiplayer map by matches played, and Terminal is the number one map by hours played. In terms of popularity, Scrapyard is the most voted multiplayer map.Despite being a much shorter playthrough, players are spending more time playing this year's campaign compared to Modern Warfare 2. Modern Warfare 3's campaign was not as well-received as MW2's story, which is partly due to the inclusion of so many of the new Open Combat-style missions.
