Marvel's Blade Sounds Like It Might Be Rated R

Hunting vampires isn't for the faint of heart. As such, Marvel's Blade might not be as family friendly as most of the MCU, with director Yann Demange claiming "they gave me the R, which is so important." That seems to indicate the movie starring Oscar winner Mahershala Ali could be the second R-rated MCU film after Deadpool 3.Demange (White Boy Rick, Lovecraft Country) opened up about Blade while talking with Deadline about his personal short film Dammi. It's a project that tackles the filmmaker's upbringing in foster homes and how he felt like an outsider, especially as a kid with Algerian and Muslim roots. This perspective should resonate as he moves on to tackle Blade, which was put on hold because of the Hollywood writers strike."I come out of this wanting to be more open, more vulnerable and bring a more personal aspect to my work," Demange said. "But for Blade, we are going to have fun because Mahershala is such a deep actor.
