The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass is adding another platform to its line-up, and it's one that has become infamous for Nintendo. The Virtual Boy functionality is coming February 17, 2026--but you'll need a special accessory to play it, since Virtual Boy games are designed for a stereoscopic 3D effect.The new accessory is modeled after the original Virtual Boy, and you slide your Switch or Switch 2 system into it and place your face against the game, just like the original Virtual Boy. Nintendo said the accessory is coming in the future, but did not give a release date. It's also producing a cardboard model that simulates the same effect. The full plastic replica Virtual Boy is priced at $100, while the cardboard model goes for $25.
