Or more specifically, the classic 1982 horror movie Poltergeist is back with a 4K Blu-ray collector's edition from The Film Vault. Poltergeist's Special Edition Steelbook has brand-new case art that recreates famous scenes from the film. The steelbook is packaged inside a cigar box alongside a handful of collectibles. All of the new artwork was designed by Matt Ferguson and Florey from The Film Vault.Poltergeist Special Edition Steelbook is available now for $100 at Walmart. There's also a steelbook-only edition that ditches the collectible inserts for $65. Both editions come with region-free 4K Blu-ray and 1080p Blu-ray discs. The Film Vault is a series of limited editions of classic Warner Bros. and Universal movies from Vice Press, a UK company focused on licensed movie collectibles and artwork.The Film Vault's new editions of Poltergeist launched September 2 as part of the collection's third wave. It was supposed to be joined by The Shining, but the new editions of Stanley Kubrick's classic horror adaptation were delayed until October 3 in the US.
