Saints Row Studio Volition Shut Down Just After 30-Year Anniversary

Volition, the Illinois-based game developer known best for creating the Saints Row series, has shut down. The studio marked its 30th anniversary this year.In a post on LinkedIn, Volition said the closure was the result of parent company Embracer's previously announced restructuring program. When the restructuring was announced, Embracer said layoffs, studio closures, and game cancellations were to be expected.Volition said it is providing job assistance and other help to affected developers.
