PlayStation Plus Price Increases Announced For All Tiers, Premium Plan Going Up $40/Year

Sony has raised the price of every PlayStation Plus tier. The company has announced that, beginning September 6, 12-month subscriptions to the service will be more expensive. The Premium tier will be $40 more expensive per year.Sony said it's charging more so it can continue to launch "high-quality games and value-added benefits to your PlayStation Plus subscription service."The PS Plus Essential tier is going up to $80/year, with Extra rising to $135/year.
