One year after the collapse of CNN+, parent company Warner Bros. Discovery has introduced CNN's comeback to streaming. CNN Max, scheduled for a September 27 launch, was presented in a press release as having a renewed emphasis on round-the-clock vital news coverage.Relevant to all Max subscribers, CNN Max is planning to test various features, including seamless integration of breaking news updates into whatever you are currently watching, as reported by Variety. Such interruptions are one of several features viewers might encounter upon the service's September launch. Speaking to Variety, JB Perrette, president and CEO Warner Bros. Discovery's streaming operations, noted that CNN Max's debut will be an "open beta," suggesting that these features could evolve post-launch."If you are going to do a 24/7 news channel, it has to deliver on that promise," Perrette said.
