Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Brings Back Classic Red Dot Minimap, It Seems

It appears Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will bring back a beloved feature from past games. Red dots on the minimap are seemingly returning for this year's game, which might sound like a small thing, but their removal has been a major point of contention among the Call of Duty fanbase.2019's Modern Warfare reboot and 2022's Modern Warfare II removed red dots on the minimap. Players only show up on the minimap when UAV is enabled. People got upset about this change and made their feelings known. Developer Infinity Ward defended the move by saying, "We do not want to punish players for firing their weapons."With Modern Warfare III, though, red dots on the minimap seem to be back, as evidenced by Activision's text message marketing campaign, as you can see below.
