Baldur's Gate 3 Hotfix Resolves Game-Breaking Save-Corruption Bug

Larian Studios has released another Baldur's Gate 3 update to address a file corruption issue that was seeing some players lose their saves.Hotfix 2.1 is now live and it turns out that the problem revolves around those whose personal databases--which includes the players' progress and decisions--got too big. Larian resolved the problem by increasing the size to "infinite" to avoid overloading the capacity, which resulted in corrupted save files (via Eurogamer)."As it turns out, many of you were doing so much in Baldur’s Gate 3 that some of your personal 'story' databases (where your choices and actions are stored) got too big," Larian explained in the patch notes.
