With Battlefield 6's October 10 release date now locked in, it's confirmed that 2025 will see new releases in both the Battlefield and Call of Duty franchises. That's notable because it hasn't happened since 2021.That was the year that the disappointing Battlefield 2042 was released, along with Call of Duty: Vanguard, which failed to sell up to expectations.Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is confirmed for release in 2025 but it doesn't have a release date yet.
