Assassin's Creed Infinity Gets A New Name

Assassin's Creed Infinity, the working title for the hub that will host new Assassin's Creed games, now has a new name. It's called the Animus hub, and Ubisoft's Marc-Alexis Cote told Game File that 2024's Assassin's Creed Shadows will be the first entry in the series to launch from within it. More details are coming later on, but Cote said the Animus hub will be the place "from which you can launch different experiences."In 2021, Bloomberg reported that Ubisoft was developing a "massive online platform that evolves over time" for the Assassin's Creed universe. Ubisoft subsequently confirmed that Assassin's Creed Infinity was the codename for the upcoming project, the structure of which is led by Cote. He is the executive producer of the entire Assassin's Creed franchise.Ubisoft has said Infinity--now Animus hub--was created in response to fans who have asked for a "more cohesive approach" to the Assassin's Creed series.Continue Reading at GameSpot...
