Elden Ring Passes 25 Million Players Ahead Of Shadow Of The Erdtree Expansion Launch

Ahead of the greatly anticipated release of its first expansion, Bandai Namco has announced that Elden Ring has passed 25 million players. "We have come a long way together," the game's social media account wrote to celebrate the milestone. "We are ever thankful for your passion and support."Elden Ring released in February 2022 and was a quick success, selling more than 12 million units in its first month. It finished 2022 as the No. 2 best-selling game in the US, trailing only Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. The game was the No. 18 best-selling game in the US in 2023. So far in 2024, it is the No. 19 best-selling game in the US.Elden Ring's first expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, releases on June 21 for $40. It is a meaty expansion, taking players to the Land of Shadow and introducing 10 new bosses to defeat.
