Fragpunk's Card-Powered Shooting Looks Like Legal Cheating

Fragpunk is another free-to-play, 5v5 shooter that will fight for your attention soon, but with an interesting wrinkle that could potentially attract your interest a little more than other recent attempts.This hero shooter lets you fundamentally change the rules of a match using powerful cards, letting you cover the map in thick grass to make hiding a little easier, or expanding the head sizes of foes to make those headshots a little easier to pull off. There are currently 70 cards planned for the game, each with their own distinct effect on a round of gameplay. Outside of the card system, the shooter looks like a fast-paced, highly competitive affair, with a variety of stylized weapons to choose from. Each round will be incredibly quick, however, with a press release stating that players can expect matches to last no more than three minutes.The cel-shaded and frantic animation style gives Fragpunk a recognizable look already, which extends to its roster of heroes to choose from. It's unclear yet what each one's distinct abilities will be, and whether they're tied directly to the cards you're able to use during skirmishes.
