Garry's Mod Dev Asks Players To Help Delete Decades Of Nintendo-Related Content

Nintendo's copyright lawyers are getting busy again, this time taking aim at decades worth of Nintendo-related content for Garry's Mod. The developers have said they're taking items down, but have requested players help by "deleting [their] Nintendo-related uploads and never uploading them again."As a popular open-ended PC sandbox, Garry's Mod has a ton of user-created content available through Steam Workshop, with popular game modes like Prop Hunt having their origins in Garry's Mod add-ons. The game has also amassed a lot of mods that riff on Nintendo's franchises, and after 20 years, Nintendo is asking the Garry's Mod developer to remove all of it.As reported by Wario64 on X (formerly Twitter), developer Facepunch Studios announced in a Steam update that it would be removing all Nintendo-related items from the Workshop in response to takedowns sent by Nintendo itself.Continue Reading at GameSpot...
