Twisted Metal Season 2 Release Date Announced, Teaser Sets Up Iconic Character's Introduction

Twisted Metal Season 2 will debut on July 31, Peacock has confirmed. The streaming company made the announcement in a teaser video that also shines a light on the Season 2 villain: Calypso.Calypso is played by Anthony Carrigan, who is known for his roles in Barry, Gotham, Fatherhood, and Bill & Ted Face the Music. Season 2 focuses on the Twisted Metal tournament, a "sinister demolition derby" hosted by Calypso. Season 2 brings back Anthony Mackie as John and Stephanie Beatriz as Quiet--both are entering the derby, during which they have to try to survive against a variety of other participants. These include the murderous clown Sweet Tooth, who is voiced by Will Arnett and played by Joe Seanoa AKA Samoa Joe.
