Fallout Dev's Cats Are In The Show In A Small Cameo

There are dozens of paintings in the world of Fallout that go back to before the Great War. Some have in-game lore, others are based on real world history such as a parody of Jacques-Louis David Napoleon Crossing the Alps (Napoleon's face is replaced with Todd Howard, the game director of Fallout 4.) Some of these paintings can be seen briefly in the new Fallout TV series. Fallout's famous cat paintings are based on game artist's Nathan Purkeypile's family cats. The art was all over the place in Fallout '76, and it so happened Purkeypile was the lead artist for that installment. In one of the episodes of the series, a fan noticed that the cat paintings could be seen briefly, much to Purkeypile's surprise. Sadly, Galen passed away in July 2020 due to a rare cancer with Purkeypile hoping "his cat paintings continue to bring everyone joy."
