Don't count Gale Weathers out just yet. Sources close to Variety have reported that Courteney Cox is in talks to reprise the role of reporter and author Gale Weathers in the seventh installment of the decades-spanning Scream series. When we last saw Gale she was being taken to the hospital after a Ghostface attack in Scream 6.Cox's return follows the announcement that fellow Scream alumni Neve Campbell revealed she was also coming back as Sidney Prescott. The actor sat out of the previous film due to a salary dispute.Campbell confirmed the news herself on her Instagram earlier in the month. "It's always been such a blast and an honor to get to play Sidney in the 'Scream' movies. My appreciation for these films and for what they have meant to me, has never waned," she posted.
