New details have emerged regarding some reported behind-the-scenes details about the next Borderlands game and a sequel to Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.Kotaku reported that after Gearbox's parent company Embracer announced budget concerns in 2023, Gearbox "shelved some work on exciting new projects and IPs." The developer is said to have shifted focus at this point to the next Borderlands game and a sequel to Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. The Borderlands 3 sequel "underwent a reshuffling" of its leadership team, the report said, adding that the rumored Tiny Tina's Wonderlands sequel had a "soft reboot."Sources told the site that both games are "still very promising and progressing well."
